Patient Ratio: 1:5–1:6

Seeking an experienced RN for a 30-bed Ortho/Neuro/Peds medical-surgical unit caring primarily for post-operative orthopedic, spine surgery, and podiatry patients, with occasional pediatric patients. Nurses are responsible for post-op assessments, pain management, medication administration, mobility and fall-prevention measures, surgical site monitoring, patient education, and coordination of care with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS required
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
• Comfortable working within 1:5–1:6 ratios
• Ability to provide safe post-operative nursing care
• Team-oriented with a positive, flexible attitude

Preferred

• PALS certification
• Pediatric patient care experience
• Experience with post-op orthopedic and spine patients
• Familiarity with Baxter IV pumps and Medfusion pumps
• Meditech experience
