Job Description

DT-Trak is hiring a certified Paramedic to provide 24/7 emergency medical coverage at Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, supporting U.S. Coast Guard personnel, housing residents, and base operations across more than 22,000 acres. This is a stable, federally contracted assignment with a government-furnished ambulance, medical equipment, and pharmaceuticals, so the paramedic can focus on patient care rather than vehicle maintenance or supply logistics.

Pay is $36 to $40 per hour based on experience, which is above the current Cape Cod regional average, plus the required Health and Welfare benefit contribution under the applicable federal wage determination.  Shifts run on a 24/7/365 rotation with day, night, and weekend coverage available.

Responsibilities include providing advanced life support emergency medical response across the JBCC installation, operating independently on a government-furnished, fully equipped ambulance, maintaining accurate patient care documentation, and reporting incidents to the Contracting Officer's Representative and Coast Guard Medical Officer as required.

Required qualifications: current Massachusetts Paramedic certification, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, and eligibility for authorization to practice within the Cape and Islands EMS system, with sponsorship coordinated upon hire. Candidates must have no adverse information on file with the National Practitioner Data Bank, must be able to pass a federal background investigation (NACLC or Tier 1 equivalent) and obtain a government-issued access credential, must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work full-time in the United States, and must be fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Candidates must also be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen and provide proof of required immunizations, including MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis A, and Hepatitis B, along with a current TB screening.

This assignment offers one of the few Cape Cod-area paramedic posts with a government-furnished ambulance and no vehicle or equipment costs, a predictable single-site schedule instead of rotating through multiple town contracts, and the stability of a multi-year federal contract covering a base year plus four option years.

To apply, submit a resume, current certifications, and Massachusetts Paramedic. Background investigation and Cape and Islands EMS authorization will be coordinated after a conditional offer is extended.

DT-Trak is an equal opportunity employer. All candidates must meet federal contract personnel security and credentialing requirements prior to starting work.
