Travel Cardio Vascular RN — Springfield, Illinois Area
- Position: Registered Traveling Cardio Vascular Nurse
- Location: Near Springfield, Illinois
- Shift: One night position currently available
- Licensure: Current Illinois RN license required
- Certifications: ACLS and BCLS required
- Experience: Open-heart experience preferred
- Trauma: Level II trauma experience or higher required
- Patient population:
- Post-PCI patients
- Post-CABG/bypass patients
- CHF patients
Required / Preferred Skills
- Required: Experience with titrating drips
- Preferred: Experience pulling sheaths
- Highly preferred: CRRT experience
ICU/Unit Support
- Intensivist/Hospitalist: In-house 24/7, including physicians and NPs
- Respiratory Therapy: Assigned 24/7 to ICU/PCU
- RT equipment: Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory equipment
- Telemetry: Dedicated tele/monitor technician monitors patients
- RN responsibility: RNs must independently interpret telemetry strips
- Monitor brand: Draeger
Computer Modules
- 4 hours of billable computer modules are required
- Modules are delivered Monday–Tuesday of the week before the assignment starts
- The 4 hours must be completed by 7:00 AM on the Friday before the start date
- Add the 4 hours to the first week's timesheet
