Position Summary - Position: Polysomnographer / Sleep Lab Tech

• Department: Sleep Lab
• Setting: Acute Care
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM–7:00 AM
• Schedule: 3×12s; Thursday–Tuesday rotation, every other week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Experience: Minimum 1 year Sleep Lab experience
• Start: Preferably by 9/1
• Travelers: First-time travelers accepted
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 2:1
• Patient Population: Adults and pediatrics age 3+
• Common Diagnoses: Obstructive and central sleep apnea

📋 Required

• BLS – AHA or ARC
• RPSGT/CPSGT or qualifying NBRC SDS credential
• Certificate of completion from an accredited School of Clinical Polysomnography
• Appropriate New Mexico license/credential in hand at submission
• Basic computer skills

💻 Equipment / Systems

• EMR: CPSI / TruBridge–Evident
• Sleep Equipment: Cadwell
• Sleep Software: Cadwell
• Monthly Inter-Scorer Reliability (ISR) required.

📌 Important Submission Details

• Max RTO: 3 days
• No call/standby
• No floating
• Every other weekend

🩺 Key Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor patients for overnight sleep studies.
• Record and measure electrical potentials and physiological events.
• Maintain and troubleshoot recording equipment.
• Analyze sleep studies and prepare reports.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to critical events.
• Perform home sleep study setups.
• Maintain confidentiality, safety, and quality standards.
