Description
LPN – Gastroenterology
LOCATION: Alexandria, VA 22310
SHIFT: Days | 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
HOURS: 40 Hours/Week
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday
JOB OVERVIEW
Seeking an experienced LPN to provide direct patient care in an outpatient Gastroenterology setting. The LPN will support clinic operations, assist with patient rooming and telemedicine visits, review medical records and physician orders, provide procedure preparation instructions, and coordinate patient communication and documentation.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the RN.
Maintains and reviews patient medical records, notes, and physician orders while documenting all patient care activities in accordance with documentation standards.
Participates in unit teams, work groups, and/or committees.
Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Active VA State LPN/LVN License
Previous outpatient or clinic nursing experience preferred
Gastroenterology experience preferred
EPIC experience required
Strong patient communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Comfortable with telemedicine and electronic patient communication
