Position Overview

BILH is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a 12-hour night-shift assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for high-acuity progressive care patients and must be comfortable managing patients requiring close monitoring and vasoactive medication support.

The ability to titrate pressors is REQUIRED and must be clearly documented in the candidate's write-up.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend required
• For night shifts, weekend coverage is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Weekly start dates are available on Mondays

Patient Ratios

• Expected ratios: approximately 1:3–5
• Nurses may be required to float to:
  • ED Holds
  • Inpatient Holds
  • PACU
  • Other boarding units

Floating Requirements

• Floating is generally performed in 4-hour blocks
• While floating every 4 hours is uncommon, candidates must be comfortable with the possibility

Required Qualifications

• Strong Progressive Care / PCU experience
• Epic experience required
• Must be able to titrate pressors
• BLS-AHA required
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients
• Comfortable floating to other patient-care areas as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS-AHA preferred
• NIHSS preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
