Unit Notes
Polysomnographic Required Certifications: Certificate of completion from School of Clinical Polysomnography and a New Mexico CPSGT/RPSGT/RRT-SDS/CRT-SDS/Trainee license required to be in hand at time of submission
Start by 9/1 preferably 645pm-7am and it will be a Thursday , Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other week
Max 3 days of RTO
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of a physician, monitor and perform sleep studies on patients as prescribed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Record and measure electrical potentials and other physiologic events.
• Maintain recording devices.
• Analyze and prepare reports of studies.
• Recognize and appropriately respond to critical events that may arise during the study.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• As assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES:
• Thorough understanding of respiratory function.
AGE-RELATED COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
RISK MANAGEMENT/QUALITY MANAGEMENT/SAFETY: Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations. MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education – Graduate from an accredited School of Clinical Polysomnography, RRT/CRT preferred, but not required. Work Experience – Two years in respiratory therapy setting preferred, but not required Training – per licensure and on the job if necessary License/Certification – Certificate of completion from School of Clinical Polysomnography and a New Mexico CSPGT/RSPGT/RRT-SDS/CRT-SDS/Trainee license required
ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids. Department: Sleep Lab Artesia has modules that must be completed prior to the clinician working the floor. Client allows for billing of module work up to 6 hours.
