Job Opening: Mammography Technologist – Elk Grove, CA (Outpatient)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks ( possible ext) 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Start Date: Sep 7th 2026
Location:  Elk Grove, CA:

• Travel Pay: $3,300/week gross
• Local Pay: $65/hour

The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.  The Mammography Technologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breast tissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results.  The Mammography Technologist helps detect breast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment and survival. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Current State License or Certificate in state where they will be working
• One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

RadNet’s Elk Grove location is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to support a high-volume outpatient facility. You will be the sole Mammo Tech on the floor, so strong clinical experience and independence are essential. Responsibilities Include: Performing weekly QC procedures Conducting screening and diagnostic mammograms, including 3D scans Working with patients who have breast implants No biopsy procedures required

Requirements: ARRT (M) certification California Mammography License Experience in fast-paced outpatient settings Proficiency in screening, diagnostics, and quality control
