L&D RN - Nights
Overview
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery nursing
- Location: Lamar, Colorado
- Employment type: Contract
- Schedule: Full time, 36 hours per week, 7:00pm–7:00am
- On call: Required
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides direct patient care for women in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
- Responsible for assessments, labor monitoring, preparation for C-sections and inductions, documentation, patient education, emotional support, transfer coordination, IV medication administration, and infection control practices.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 7 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- BLS
- C-EFM
- STABLE
Preferred Experience
- 4 years of obstetrics care experience preferred
Additional Requirements
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within one year of employment
- ACLS within one year of employment
Work Environment
- May rotate shifts and areas based on staffing and census
- Physical demands include long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting
- Exposure to blood and body fluids, unpleasant sights and smells, and infectious diseases may occur
