Position Details

• Shift Details: 4x12-Hour Shifts (48 hours/week ONLY)

  
   

• Shift Rotation: Day/Night Rotational Position, Weekend Blocked

  
   

• Schedule Expectations: Includes Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties per unit needs

  
   

• Start Date: 09/14/2026

Requirements

• License: Active NY RN License ONLY

  
   

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience

  
   

• Skills/Certifications: Telemetry experience required

  
   

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather detailed case history.

  
   

• Plan and deliver specialized nursing care for psychiatric patients in an Emergency Room setting.

  
   

• Formulate nursing diagnoses regarding medical and emotional status and recommend tailored treatment options.

  
   

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff to design comprehensive treatment plans.

  
   

• Administer psychotropic drugs and other medications, closely monitoring and documenting patient reactions.

  
   

• Test vital signs for pain and ensure appropriate treatments are administered.

  
   

• Assist patients in understanding emotional disturbances and accepting necessary care.

  
   

• Maintain a safe, secure environment for patients and clinical staff.

  
   

• Document medical charts accurately, follow physician orders, maintain confidentiality, and keep complete records of treatments, immunizations, and lab results.

  
   

• Perform essential administrative assignments including filing, progress notes in computer systems, answering phones, and providing courteous support to members of the public.
