Description
Position Highlights
- ER Holding unit with Med/Surg level of care
- 36- or 48-hour options available
- 1:4 patient ratios
- 8-bed unit with approximately 12 daily census
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- 24 hours of orientation
- Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, and other interdisciplinary support
- Floating may be required to like units within the RN's scope of practice
Requirements
- 2 years RN experience preferred; 1+ year may be considered
- Previous travel experience not required
- Charge experience not required
- ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS required
- NIHSS certification required
- Med/Surg and MS/Tele experience
- Experience with telemetry, IV starts/management, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, wound care, insulin, heparin, feeding tubes, PICC lines, and CVA patients preferred
- Pending NM or Compact license accepted, but license must be obtained before start
