Location: Torrance, California
Contract: 8 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Days
Hours: 36 hours/week
Schedule: 3 × 12s
Weekends/Holidays: Must be able to work every other weekend
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technician for an 8-week day-shift assignment in Torrance. This opportunity is ideal for a Surgical Tech with inpatient experience who is skilled in surgical preparation and maintaining a sterile field.
Schedule
- 3 × 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours/week
- Day shift
- Every other weekend required
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- No on-call requirement
- ASAP start
Requirements
- 1+ year of inpatient Surgical Technician experience required
- 2+ years of Surgical Technician experience
- Current Surgical Technician certification
- BLS
- Experience preparing instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures
- Experience maintaining the sterile field
Experience setting up delivery tables
Facility & Department Details
- 377-bed teaching facility
- Operating Room / Surgical Tech
- EMR: Cerner
- PPE provided
- Parking available onsite
- Scrubs: Any color; Navy Blue or Black preferred
- Pay cycle: Sunday–Saturday
Credentialing
- LA County credentialing can take approximately 1 month
- All credentialing documents are due 2 weeks prior to the start date
- Client feedback may take approximately 3–5 days
Pay Package
Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1,450/week
- Taxable Rate: $25/hr
- Overtime Rate: $37.50/hr
- Taxable Weekly Pay: $1,050
- Housing Per Diem: $400/week
- Estimated Gross Weekly: $1,450
