Description

Performs, assists, and completes Cardiac and Vascular Radiographic examinations. Performs active radiographic interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab using a variety of complicated and sophisticated equipment. Operates equipment to produce digital images of designated body portions, as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients for examinations and performs specialized studies. Provides clinical care efficiently and effectively using a high level of technical and organizational skills as well as critical thinking ability. Models/mentors and trains staff on technical skills. Provide input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff.

Variable Shift - Either 7am-5:30pm. 8-6:30pm-, 9-7:30pm.

Call: After hours/Every other weekend. 2 weeknights per week. Manager will go into details on this at the time of interview.

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate?s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Bachelor?s Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor?s): Preferred
• Three years' technical experience: Preferred
• Experience as Special Procedures Technologist: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification: Preferred
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification?or?Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required

Department Specific License/Certifications:

• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required
• Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI): Required
