Description
Radiation Therapist – Oncology Department
Join a dedicated Oncology Department as a Radiation Therapist, providing essential radiation therapy services to patients while working with advanced treatment technology. This 13-week opportunity is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in radiation therapy and radiologic technology.
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiation Therapist
- Department: Oncology
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Radius Rule: 100-mile radius applies
- License Requirement: Active New York license in hand is required
Experience & Technology Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience
- Experience with Varian TrueBeam and IX equipment preferred
- Experience with ARIA software preferred
- Specific experience and training in radiology is preferred
- Knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is required
Education & Certification Requirements
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current BCLS certification
- Must maintain all registries and licenses required by applicable state and federal law
