Description
Past procedural experience in Hospital Based GI lab. .
Most of our procedures are MAC sedation – with anesthesia present.
We have some moderate sedation procedures but not many.
We use Epic Op-Time to chart.
Procedures that we perform here include: Colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, Colon w/ EMR, EGD w/ dilation, EUS w/ fine needle aspiration This is for GI Lab nurse position.
This is a busy procedure area, doing about 40-50 procedures a day ranging from colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, liver biopsies and PEG tube placements. GI procedures use specific scopes, equipment, etc - that would need to be taught (like over several weeks) if there isn't any experience.
