☢️ Key Responsibilities

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures while maintaining exceptional patient safety, image quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Perform nuclear medicine examinations according to established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear explanations regarding exams.
  • Perform and assist with bone scans, SPECT studies, gastric emptying, HIDA, MUGA, PET, and Sestamibi parathyroid scans.
  • Perform whole-body, limited, and 3-phase bone imaging.
  • Assist with DEXA procedures as applicable.
  • Obtain venous blood samples and initiate and maintain IV access.
  • Safely handle, store, prepare, and dispose of radioactive materials.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and related technology.
  • Evaluate images for quality and ensure appropriate anatomical coverage.
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information in Epic.
  • Maintain strict radiation safety and infection-control practices.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients throughout their imaging experience.

  • 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
  • Diploma/Technical Certificate or applicable Nuclear Medicine education
  • ARRT (N) and/or CNMT
  • BLS
  • Required applicable Fluoroscopy permit/authorization
  • Active license/permit must be available at the time of submission
  • Epic experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety and radioactive material handling
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills
