Description

RN – Med Surg / Urology-Nephrology

Shift: 3×12 Nights | 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
Unit: Urology/Nephrology | 25-bed unit
Average Daily Census: 23
Experience: Minimum 2 years
First-Time Travelers: Yes, if they have a strong Med/Surg foundation and 2+ years of Med/Surg experience
Weekend: Every other weekend
On-Call: No
Charting: Cerner

Required

2+ years Med/Surg RN experience
Active Illinois RN license in hand or currently in the application process
BLS
Cerner experience – REQUIRED
Must be willing to work Charge as needed
Must be willing to float to other Medical/Surgical units

Cardiac monitoring & remote telemetry
Rapid Response Team experience
Pre/Post hemodialysis management
Renal failure
Blood product administration
Central line blood draws
Peripheral IV care/management
PICC line management
Starting IVs

Chest tubes — Emerson/Pleur-evac
CPAP/BiPAP
HFNC
Non-invasive airway management
Oral suctioning
Portable oxygen
Isolation precautions
Wound care / Wound VAC
