Years of experience REQ: 2+ years of MRI experience
First-timers accepted: Yes
Cert/License REQ: BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
Certification/Licenses accepted: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT – state license is NOT required
Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers
Skills Required: General MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac.
Equipment Experience REQ: Siemens
Equipment Experience PREF: Sectra, Epic

 

Position/Specialty: Mobile MRI Tech
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) reports to the site supervisor and manager of radiology. Under general supervision, the MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations for physician interpretation.
Other duties as deemed necessary.

Shift: M-F 5x8's (1230p - 9p), will consider 4x10's (1030a - 9p) and / or 3x12's (830a - 9p)
Weekend Requirement: Saturdays 8a-4p, the traveler works 5x8s (12:30a-9pm M-F), equaling 40 hours on the weeks they don’t work Saturdays, and on the weeks that they do work Saturdays will they work (4) 8-hour shifts (12:30a -9pm) M-F and an 8-hour (8a-4p) shift on Saturday equaling 40 hours

Th recruiters are super nice and helpful.

Cons

Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
