Registered Nurse — Labor & Delivery

Job Overview

Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Employment type: Per diem
Shift: Nights

Role Summary

Provides labor and delivery care for women during childbirth.
Monitors mother and baby, coaches mothers through labor, assists physicians, and supports breastfeeding after birth.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NRP
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Level III experience

Additional Role Details

Birthing center averages 200 births per month
Typical staffing ratios include 2:1 during labor, 1:1 for delivery or C-section, and 2:1 for epidurals and IV Pitocin
