Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) - Night Shift

Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12


Job Description

  • Independently or in consultation with a physician, administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing related to the cardio-pulmonary system.
  • Respond to arrest and emergency situations, providing CPR and life support.
  • Perform respiratory care evaluations and treatments according to protocols.
  • Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
  • Respond immediately to Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways and performing cardiac compressions.
  • Set up and maintain oxygen therapy according to protocol.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous travel work experience as a respiratory therapist.

Additional Information

  • Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility will not be considered.
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: Epic.
  • Facility offers 24-hour emergency care and Level II trauma care.
  • Worksite is located on a 225-acre wooded campus.
