Floating Requirements: None
Performs a variety of preparatory, scrubbing and related services necessary to provide patient service in the operating room. Assists with surgical cases in all specialty areas. Helps with ancillary tasks as needed such as cleaning, outdates, picking and putting away supplied and assisting in assembling instrumentation in sterile processing. No call, would work Holidays, and no weekends
Minimum experience: 2 years
- First time traveler: Upon review
- Beds: 19 (split between 2 locations in the hospital)
- Patient Types: General,Experience in Robotics xi and DV5, ENT, Plasticcs, Urology, Bariatrics, GYN and minor Vascular Surgery. Must be able to do Neuro surgery and orthopedics
- Mandatory skills: CST- Scrub
- Certifications: CST- BLS CST
- Floating: Between the Main OR and East side (same building)
- Tech to Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Telemetry Monitoring: Yes, anesthesiologist monitors
- Scrub Color: Procedural
- Weekend/ Holiday: None
- Parking: Free on site

- Number of ORs: 19, split between 2 locations in the hospital

Case Types:
- General, Robotics, Bariatrics, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac, Urology, ENT (sinus, ear tubes, tonsils, thyroids), Plastics, Endovascular, fistulas,
Cases performed in a day:
Required Licensure and Certifications:
- RN: BLS
- Scrub Tech: CST, BLS
- Anesthesia Tech: BLS
Skills required:
- RN: Circulate, assist with intubation/extubation, positioning. Robotics experience is a must (DaVinci XI)
- Biggies for manager: ENT, Endovascular, Minor vascular, and robotics
- Scrub Tech: Scrub, assist with sterile processing, positioning pt. Robotics experience a must (DaVinci XI)
- Anesthesia Tech: Room turn over, refill gases, safety checks on equipment, stocking
Support on the Unit:
- Charge nurse - only Monday through Friday; no charge on Weekends/Holidays
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- IV pumps: Alaris
- Medication dispensing: Pyxis
Floating: If yes, where:
- Between the Main OR and East side (same building), potentially to the West Side surgery center across town (rare)
Orientation:
- (2) 8 hour shifts on the unit
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: Possibility of some weekends
- On call: No call for RN, ST, or Anesthesia Techs
- Holiday Expectations: Could work some holidays
- RTO approval to go through manager
- Shift times: Refer to posting
