Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (Psychiatric RN)
Location: Scottsbluff NE
Contract: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $64.00/hour
Shift: Rotating Day/Night Shifts (Primarily Night Shift)

Mandatory Qualifications for This Job

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health/Psychiatric RN experience preferred.
• Experience caring for Adult, Adolescent, and Geriatric psychiatric patients.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or de-escalation training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health assessments, psychiatric medications, and crisis intervention.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric behavioral health patients.
• Perform psychiatric assessments and monitor patients' mental and physical health.
• Administer medications and monitor therapeutic responses.
• Implement individualized treatment and behavioral care plans.
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies using crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain a secure therapeutic environment.
