Description

Pharmacy Technician – Inpatient

Location: Madison, WI 53792
Facility: University Hospital / American Family Children’s Hospital
Shift: 5×8-hour shifts

Primary: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Secondary: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM / 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Weekend & holiday coverage required; no on-call

Contract: 13–26 weeks
Start Dates: 9/14 or 9/21 accepted

Requirements

2+ years inpatient/acute care pharmacy experience
Sterile compounding experience required within the last 6 months
Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Travel experience required
CPhT preferred
Epic experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

Dispense, compound, and deliver medications
Prepare sterile and non-sterile products/IV mixtures
Medication dispensing and inventory management
Work with pharmacy automation such as Omnicell and Carousel
Maintain aseptic technique and medication safety
Support a fast-paced inpatient pharmacy serving patients from neonates to geriatrics
