Description
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative care for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient care in the CVOR setting.
- Perform both scrub and circulating RN duties.
- Assist with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and supplies.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control standards.
- Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and communicate changes promptly.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team.
- Complete accurate perioperative documentation.
- Participate in scheduled weekday and weekend call rotations.
- Work rotating start times and holidays as required by unit needs.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience.
- 1 year may be considered for candidates with Level I Trauma experience.
- Recent cardiac, thoracic, and vascular scrub experience required.
- Recent circulating experience required.
- BSN preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative nursing practices.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in call requirements.
