Description
Registered Nurse – PACU
St. Louis, Missouri
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Shift: 4×10 Nights (10:00 PM–8:30 AM) Monday–Thursday
Contract: 16 Weeks
Requirements (Hard Stop)
- 2+ years of PACU experience in a Level I Trauma Center
- 2+ years of ICU/Critical Care experience
- Experience recovering high-acuity inpatient surgical patients
- Epic EMR experience
- BLS & ACLS required
- First-time travelers accepted only with the required Level I PACU + ICU experience
Candidates with only Level II Trauma experience
Candidates should have experience with:
- Mechanical ventilation & artificial airways
- Vasoactive drips
- General anesthesia recovery
- ICP monitoring
- Blood transfusions
- Central lines & IV therapy
- Dysrhythmia recognition
- Starting IVs & phlebotomy
- Drains and invasive monitoring
Required surgical recovery: Post-cardiac surgery, lobectomy, chest trauma, exploratory laparotomy (Ex-Lap), splenectomy, and trauma patients.
