Description
Staff Respiratory Therapist – Nights | $10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Pay: $26.97–$46.74 per hour
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts
Hours: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000
We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or qualified Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) for a permanent night-shift position. You will provide comprehensive respiratory care while working primarily with adult and geriatric patients.
New graduates and students within six months of completing an accredited Respiratory Therapy program are encouraged to apply.
Job Details
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Six-week scheduling periods
- One on-call shift per six-week schedule
- Weekend coverage approximately every third weekend
- Must work four of eight recognized holidays
- Epic charting system
- Primarily adult and geriatric patient population
- Pay negotiable based on years of experience
- New graduates and experienced therapists considered
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway-management services, and other respiratory treatments
- Manage and monitor patients receiving mechanical ventilation
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures
- Monitor patient responses and identify changes in clinical condition
- Troubleshoot respiratory equipment and treatment concerns
- Support advanced services such as critical-care ventilation, bronchoscopies, cardiopulmonary care, and other respiratory procedures
- Accurately document care using Epic
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions, equipment, and treatments
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the patient-care team
Requirements
- Associate degree or completion of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- RRT credential or qualifying RCP credential/license
- Current BLS certification required
- Active or eligible state respiratory care license
- CRT-only candidates will not be considered
- No previous professional experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Adult, geriatric, acute-care, or critical-care experience
- Mechanical ventilation experience
- Epic experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
Sign-On and Relocation Incentives
Qualified candidates are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus:
- $5,000 paid after 90 days
- $5,000 paid after one year
- Two-year employment commitment required
Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 may also be available. The approved amount depends on the candidate’s current location and relocation distance.
