RN – CVICU / Cardiovascular ICU position.

Specialty: ICU – CVICU / Cardiovascular ICU
Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12s
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Unit: 20-bed CVICU
Trauma Level: Level I
EMR: EPIC
Weekend: Every other weekend
Holiday: Every other holiday
Floating: Yes – may float to all levels of care
Scrubs: No specific color; clinician provides own

Patient Population

• Post-CABG and valve surgery patients
• Aortic dissections and AAA
• Vascular/carotid procedures
• STEMI, NSTEMI and unstable angina
• Cardiogenic shock and severe heart failure
• TAVR patients
• Cardiomyopathy
• Ventilated patients
• Cardiac-related ICU admissions
• Targeted Temperature Management

Required/Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of solid CVICU experience required
• Strong ICU travel experience preferred
• Must be able to independently manage high-acuity cardiovascular patients
• Drip titration experience required
• Telemetry/strip interpretation required
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP and high-flow experience
• Experience with:
  • IABP
  • Impella
  • Swan-Ganz
  • ECMO
  • CRRT
  • Arterial lines
  • Central lines
  • Temporary pacemakers
  • PICC/Midlines

Certifications

• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS preferred
• CCRN preferred
