Description
RN – Medical Surgical | Ortho Trauma / General Surgery
Location: Wilmington, NC
Start Date: 09/08/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 4x12s | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience within the last 5 years - HARDSTOP
- First-time travelers accepted
- Active NC / Compact RN license required
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- Epic experience required
- Ortho/Neuro/Trauma experience preferred
- Experience with heparin drips, PCA, chest tubes, surgical drains, wound care, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with central lines, PICCs, IV starts, phlebotomy, blood products, feeding tubes, and colostomy care
- Comfortable managing dysrhythmias and telemetry patients
- Must be comfortable with 1:6-7 patient ratios
- Must pass EKG testing before start
Float required: Similar MS units and alternate inpatient care locations
Weekend: Every other weekend
RTO: Maximum 7 days; no RTO after booking
Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
COVID-19 vaccine not required
