LTC (Long-Term Care) RN travel contract

Shift: 12-hour days, 7 AM–7 PM

Weekend: Every other weekend

Holidays: Every other major holiday

Call: None

Guaranteed: 36 hours/week

BSN: Not required

License: Required to submit

BLS: Required

EMR: MatrixCare/Matrix

Patient population

Common conditions include:

Heart disease
Diabetes
Dementia

Main duties

The RN will:

Act as charge nurse
Pass medications
Perform wound care
Provide routine LTC nursing care

There are no IVs or titratable drips, no telemetry, and no respiratory therapy on-site 24/7.

Staffing ratios

Days: approximately 1 nurse : 10 residents
Nights: approximately 1 nurse : 19 residents

Since this is a day position, the 1:10 ratio is the more relevant one.

12-hour shifts: 7 AM–7 PM
No self-scheduling
No block scheduling
Every other weekend
Every other major holiday
No call/standby
2–3 shifts of department-specific orientation
