CT Tech – Mammography | 13-Week Contract
Job Title: CT Tech – Mammography / Breast Imaging
Location: Alpharetta, Georgia
Facility: Alpharetta Breast Care Center – 821A Alpha Women’s Imaging
Address: 3400-C Old Milton Parkway, Suite 145, Alpharetta, GA 30005
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Shift: 8-hour days

Position Overview
The CT Tech/Mammography Technologist performs high-quality mammography and breast imaging procedures while providing safe, compassionate patient care. The technologist positions patients appropriately, performs imaging studies, evaluates image quality, and takes corrective action when necessary, including repositioning patients and repeating examinations.
The technologist is expected to work independently with indirect supervision and demonstrate strong competency across a broad range of mammography procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all types of mammography examinations accurately and efficiently.
- Position patients appropriately and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Review completed images for quality, positioning, and diagnostic adequacy.
- Identify image-quality issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Perform and/or assist with stereotactic breast biopsies.
- Perform needle localization procedures and ductograms.
- Complete mammography-related quality control (QC) activities as required.
- Enter accurate patient, procedure, and imaging information into the EHR and related systems.
- Follow department, facility, and regulatory standards for imaging and patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable safety requirements.
- Work autonomously in areas requiring independent clinical judgment and indirect supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in mammography/breast imaging.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- ARRT Mammography (M) certification/qualification required.
- Demonstrated competency in stereotactic biopsy and/or mammography-related quality control.
- Competency performing:
- Routine mammography studies
- Needle localization
- Ductograms
- Stereotactic procedures
- Ability to work independently with indirect supervision.
- Strong patient positioning, imaging, and image-quality assessment skills.
- Proficiency with EHR and related imaging systems.
Holiday Requirement
Northside holiday expectations require the technologist to work:
- 2 major holidays out of 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
- 1 minor holiday: Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
