What the Facility Wants (Requirements & Expectations)

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience Required: Minimum 3 years as an RN circulator preferred. (Note: RN scrubbing is not required; works alongside ORTs).
• License & Certifications: Active nursing license and BLS required. Driver's license must be included with the submittal.
• WVU System Rules:
  • Candidates can only submit to 1 job at a time within WVU.
  • Strict 2-year break required between permanent employment at WVU and travel eligibility.
  • Driver's license address must be outside a 50-mile radius.

Clinical & Unit Overview

• Unit Details: 12 surgical suites averaging 30 cases per day. Common cases include general surgery, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ophthalmology, vascular, and plastic surgery.
• Charting System: Meditech.
• Floating Requirements: May be required to float to Endoscopy if not needed in Surgery.

Scheduling & Call Requirements

• Call Policy: Weeknight, weekend, and holiday rotational on-call requirements (8-hour call shifts). A 30-minute call response time is required.
• Dress Code: Wear scrubs provided by the surgery vending machine.
