Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Pediatric Critical Care

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Contract Options: 8 or 12 weeks
 

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a pediatric critical-care assignment. The therapist will work across RRT-NICU, PICU, and CVICU with pediatric patients, including high-acuity Level IV NICU care.

Minimum experience: 2 years
Travel experience: Not required
Local candidates: Accepted at the same bill rate
 

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Ohio RRT license must be active and in hand
• NBRC certification – active and in hand
• BLS – active and in hand
• Advanced NRP required
• PALS required
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Pediatric experience required
• PICU experience required
• NICU experience required, preferably high-level/Level IV care

Schedule

• 3×12-hour day shifts or 4×12-hour shifts
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be communicated during submission and interview
• RTO must be included at the time of submission

Floating

The traveler may float to:

• Shaker Children's Rehab
• Fairview NICU
• Akron NICU
• Hillcrest NICU

Compliance Requirements

• Standard Qualivis Cover Sheet required, including interview availability
• Two professional references required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• References must be from assignments worked within the past 12 months
• Coworker references will not be accepted
• All required certifications must be active; nothing pending
• All copies of required certifications must be provided at submission
• Complete work history must be included, including any previous Cleveland Clinic positions
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Two fingerprinting processes are required:
  • Onsite facility fingerprinting before start
  • Agency fingerprinting
• Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine/cotinine required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Facility is smoke-free and strictly nicotine-free
• Background hits are reviewed by the facility
• Facility does not accept license hits

Cleveland Clinic Eligibility

Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year after their previous end date.

Travelers may extend for up to 18 months with the client. After 18 months, a 6-month break is required, although the client may defer the break on a case-by-case basis.

• Additional pre-start module time beyond 4 hours is non-billable
