Clinical Interviewing- Yes - Manager to conduct final interview

On Call, Call Back Requirements: During the week, 1 day, plus weekend rotation

Weekend Rotation: Every 5th weekend-Saturday and Sunday. Every 10th weekend 8a-5p second scrub

Holiday Requirements: Closed on holiday for regular schedule-on call for emergent cases

Case Types:

• General Surgery-hernia, exploratory laparotomy, colon, gall bladder, Ortho-total joints and sports, Podiatry, Ophthalmology-cataracts only, GYN-hysterectomy, salpingectomy, hysteroscopy, Urology-cysto, stents, laser stone, TURP, OB-C-section.
• Cases performed in a day: 13-15

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• RN: BLS
• Scrub Tech: BLS

Skills required:

• RN: Circulate and second scrub cases-hold camera or retractor
• Scrub Tech: Open cases, set up and maintain sterile OR cases for all service lines. (Total joints, C-Sections, Laparoscopic procedures, Cataract procedures, GYN procedures, Urology procedures)

Support on the Unit:

• Receptionist/HUC -Yes
• Charge nurse: Yes
• RT: Yes
• Hospitalist Yes
• Anesthesia/CRNA availability: yes
• Transport/CNA: Yes

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: Epic
• IV pumps: Alaris
• Medication dispensing: Omnicell

Floating: If yes, where: N/A

Orientation: 1 week orientation
