Description
Mammography Tech
Location: IHS Facility, Phoenix, Arizona 85016
Shift:
- Sunday–Saturday coverage as needed
- First Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- On-site position
- No on-call or callback currently required
- Schedule may vary based on patient volume and facility needs
Contract Length: 6 months to 1 yr (Option to extend)
Estimated Start Date: Pending Award and Completion of Credentialing Process
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $58
- Travel weekly stipend (if applicable): $1,722
- Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.
Benefits:
- Health and Welfare: $5.09/hr (Up to 40 hours worked per week)
- PTO: 5 days after 6 months, an additional 5 days at 1 year of service
- Accrued sick days: 1 hour for every 36 hours worked
- 11 Paid Holidays: Following the Government calendar throughout the year
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Mammography Technologist to provide screening and diagnostic mammography services in an on-site healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and compliance with MQSA and applicable radiology standards.
Requirements:
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography
- Qualifications required to perform mammography services under applicable FDA/MQSA requirements
- Current BLS certification
- Completion of Image Gently and Image Wisely training, as applicable
- Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations, including 2D and 3D/tomosynthesis imaging
- Prepare, position, and educate patients throughout mammography procedures
- Verify patient information and examination requirements
- Review images for technical quality and obtain additional images when necessary
- Perform required Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities in accordance with MQSA and ACR standards
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols
- Document examinations accurately in the EHR and imaging systems
- Maintain compliance with IHS and facility policies and applicable regulatory standards
