Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension

Schedule: Approximately 22.5 hours/week; Monday, Friday, and Saturday, primarily Saturday/weekend coverage
Shift Length: 8 Hours
Setting: Acute Care / Outpatient Radiology

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations in an outpatient radiology setting. The technologist will operate Siemens and Philips MRI scanners, ensure patient safety and comfort, and accurately perform imaging studies according to established protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of MRI examinations using Siemens Vida, Sola, and Philips 3T scanners.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while following department protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures and provide appropriate patient instructions.
• Perform IV insertion and administer contrast when required.
• Review and document patient information and imaging procedures in EPIC Radiant.
• Upload, process, and manage images using VuePACS.
• Maintain MRI safety standards and follow all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• No floating to other departments is required.

Skills:

• IV certification/IV insertion experience.
• Experience with Siemens, Philips, and Toshiba MRI equipment.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and outpatient imaging procedures.
• EPIC Radiant and PACS experience preferred.
• EMR/PACS: EPIC Radiant and VuePACS

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required.
• Current NYS Radiologic License/DOH license.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• ARRT (MR) certification.
• AHA - BLS certification.
