Description

Hospital & Unit Information

Patient Ratios:
- Day shift: 1:4
- PM shift: 1:4 / 1:5
- Night shift: 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
EMR:
- EPIC (strongly preferred within the past 2 years)
Floating Information / On-Call:
- Floating: Float team position; floats as needed within skillset to observation unit, cardiac unit, medical unit, surgical unit, ortho/neuro unit, inpatient rehab, and/or transitional care unit (facility tries to keep traveler in 1–2 like units)
- On-Call: None
Special Requirements & Radius Rule:
- Radius Rule: Travelers must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Bellin Health
- Scrub Colors: No bright colors or character prints

Job Requirements

Experience Required:
- 1–2+ years general Med/Surg experience required
- Experience with venipuncture and Cardizem required
- Experience with ports, Foley/straight catheters, and stable drips required
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred
Licenses Required:
- Active RN or Compact license required upon submittal
Certifications Required:
- BLS (AHA) required upon submittal
- NIHSS preferred for submittal (required prior to end of orientation; provided free via Bellin's Apex Innovations)
