Description
MRI Technologist – Night Shift | Milwaukee, WI
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Shift: 10-Hour Nights | 40 Hours/Week

- Level II Trauma Center
- Level III NICU
- Magnet Designation
- Primary Stroke Center
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years of MRI experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- BLS certification required
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
- EPIC experience required
- Experience with GE and Siemens MRI equipment required
- GE Discovery 750W experience required
- Siemens Aera experience required
- Siemens Magnetom Skyra experience required
- McKesson PACS experience required
- Experience with outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients
- Experience scanning patients with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, and whole-body cases
- Cardiac MRI experience preferred
Work Environment
- MRI department with 6 scanners, currently operating 5
- Weekly census: approximately 250–300 patients
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Support includes Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants
- Travelers will not work alone
- No floating outside of MRI
- 3-day orientation provided
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Weekend rotation: maximum every 3rd weekend
- On-call: Saturday and Sunday nights, 9:00 PM–6:30 AM
- Backup on-call: Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 AM–9:00 PM
- 30-minute response time required
- Rotating responsibility for first-shift backup and weekend on-call
- Weekend on-call approximately once every 8 weeks
- Includes on-site Saturday hours with a compensatory weekday off
- Time-off requests require Nurse Manager approval
- Holiday requirements based on unit needs
