Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. The ideal candidate will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures while operating fluoroscopic imaging equipment and providing exceptional patient care.
This role requires strong technical expertise in cardiovascular procedures, radiation safety, hemodynamic monitoring, sterile technique, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment during cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Provide scrub assistance to cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist with catheters, guidewires, pressure monitoring, and other Cath Lab equipment.
- Monitor and recognize changes in patient conditions throughout procedures.
- Enter procedural events and patient information into the hemodynamic computer system.
- Maintain knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, EKG interpretation, and invasive procedures.
- Follow aseptic techniques, radiation safety standards, and infection-control protocols.
- Assist with lifting, positioning, and safely transporting patients.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and Cath Lab team members.
- Maintain accurate patient and procedural documentation.
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts
- Weekend Call: Every 6th weekend
- Weeknight Call: One weeknight shift each week
- Must be willing to participate in the on-call rotation and work holidays as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum 2+ years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required.
- Active and valid Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license in the appropriate modality.
- ARRT (R) registration required for Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Experience in Diagnostic Imaging, Special Procedures, Cath Lab, or EP Lab preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation, radiation safety, and aseptic technique.
- Ability to operate Cath Lab equipment, including catheters and guidewires.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound professional judgment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- CVI
- RCIS
- RCES
Physical Requirements
This position requires a medium level of physical activity, including the ability to exert 20–50 pounds of force occasionally and assist with lifting and positioning patients.
Additional Requirements
- Maximum 7 days of RTO accepted.
- Interview required.
