Description
treatments per day: Total Inpatient Beds: 127.
Certs STABLE, ACLS, BLS, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, or RRT preferred, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS.
Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?): Adults mainly, however they do have a pediatric inpatient unit and a family birthing unit (no c-sections).
Job Duties (ie: Do RTs draw ABGs, perform EKGs, etc.): Breathing treatments, vent management, ABG's draw and run samples, EKGs for outpatient and inpatient.
Core RT's can place Art lines.
They would cover EKG's for the same areas they are assigned to for respiratory treatments.
Can have as many as 8-9 vents in ICU at a time.
Call or standby call requirement?: No.
What is call response time: No.
Floating Requirements: Within facility only.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
