Description
Bluebird Staffing is recruiting Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for a full-time opportunity with a leading healthcare organization focused on providing patient-centered care to older adults.
This is a great opportunity for a PTA who wants to move away from high-volume therapy environments and build meaningful, long-term relationships with participants. You’ll work as part of an interdisciplinary team alongside Physical Therapists, therapists, providers, and other clinical professionals.
Position Overview
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will provide restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Care may be provided both at the center and in participants’ homes, with the goal of maximizing independence, safety, and functional ability.
Unlike traditional high-volume therapy settings, this position offers lower patient volumes, allowing you to spend more meaningful time with each participant. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships rather than treating patients for short-term rehab stays.
Compensation
Base Salary: $79,040–$106,080 annually
Schedule & Work Environment
This is a full-time position designed with work/life balance in mind. The role does not require after-hours documentation, and PTAs work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities
You will administer treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist, assist with obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength measurements, and coordinate with the rehabilitation team to implement individualized treatment plans.
Additional responsibilities include participant scheduling, clinical visit coordination, billing, and documentation of interventions such as therapeutic exercise, muscle re-education, gait training, functional ADL training, and other physical therapy treatments.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid PTA license or proof of license eligibility
- Knowledge and experience treating frail, elderly, or medically complex participants
- 1+ years of experience preferred
- Adult and/or geriatric experience strongly preferred
- Pediatric-only experience will not be considered
- Willingness to travel occasionally
Benefits
The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 17 days of PTO, 12 observed holidays, 6 sick days, 401(k) with employer match, unlimited CEUs through MedBridge, and additional benefits.
If you’re a PTA looking for a lower-volume environment where you can build lasting relationships with participants while maintaining a strong work/life balance, Bluebird Staffing would love to connect with you.
