Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• BLS certification
• ARDMS registration required
• RDMS Breast Specialty (RDMS-BR) required
• At least one additional ARDMS registry beyond Physics, such as OB, Abdomen, Neuro, Breast, Pediatrics, or Vascular
• Strong patient identification, ultrasound examination, and image evaluation skills
• Vascular procedure experience required

Description:

• Perform ultrasound examinations under physician direction to assist with diagnosis
• Prepare patients, verify orders, and ensure accurate patient identification
• Perform exams according to department protocols and evaluate images for quality and accuracy
• Provide patient education and maintain patient comfort
• Operate ultrasound equipment and related information systems
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Follow infection control, sterile technique, medical necessity, consent, and quality control protocols
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology staff with ultrasound procedures
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
