🩻 Travel Ultrasound Technologist – General/Vascular
Location: Billings, Montana
Start Date: September 7, 2026
End Date: December 7, 2026
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time | 4×10-hour shifts
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: Variable 10-hour shifts

This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer who is confident working independently, delivering excellent patient care, evaluating image quality and performing a broad range of ultrasound procedures.
You'll work alongside physicians and healthcare professionals while utilizing your technical expertise to produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging.
🩻 Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established department protocols
- Prepare patients for examinations, verify orders and ensure accurate patient identification
- Obtain and evaluate images for quality, clarity and diagnostic accuracy
- Apply appropriate imaging techniques based on patient condition and examination requirements
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy and sonographic principles
- Perform vascular ultrasound procedures
- Operate ultrasound equipment and related information systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient information
- Provide clear patient education and instructions throughout examinations
- Ensure patient comfort and address questions or concerns
- Follow appropriate infection-control and sterile-technique practices
- Maintain cleaning and equipment-safety standards
- Follow medical necessity, consent, coding and charging protocols
- Participate in quality-control programs
- Identify and report equipment issues or failures
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Assist and provide guidance to students and other radiology professionals regarding examination protocols, positioning and equipment
- Prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader healthcare team
✅ Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Ultrasound experience
- ARDMS registration required
- RDMS Breast (BR) certification required
- Must hold at least one additional ARDMS registry beyond physics, such as:
- Abdomen
- OB/GYN
- Breast
- Neurosonology
- Pediatric Sonography
- Vascular Technology
- BLS certification required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong patient-care and communication skills
- Ability to operate complex ultrasound equipment safely and accurately
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
