Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Nurse – RN in Homer, AK!
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join Paul Banks Elementary School in Homer, Alaska for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, school-based position supporting the health and wellness needs of the entire elementary school community.

Role Overview:
The School Nurse will provide health services for the school as a whole, including student screenings, office visits, medication administration, first aid, emergency care, and ongoing health support. This position plays an important role in keeping students healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for student office visits and health concerns
- Conduct required student health screenings
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide first aid and emergency nursing care
- Monitor students with chronic health conditions, including asthma, diabetes, and seizure disorders
- Develop and support individualized student health plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
- Communicate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers as appropriate
- Promote student wellness and address health-related barriers to learning
- Follow Alaska health regulations and school policies
Qualifications:
- Current Alaska RN license or ability to obtain prior to starting
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills
- Comfortable working independently as the school nurse for an elementary school
