Job Description

IMPORTANT!

McLaren Northern has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population.  Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately.  Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor.  This policy will begin on 6/1/2024.

Level 2 South/Level 2 Central is a 60-bed Medical Surgical Unit with mixed acuity and patient populations consisting of post-surgical cases, diverse medical conditions, traumas, strokes, and inpatient hospice. It is a challenging fast-paced environment with great learning opportunities and exposure to a vast patient population.

Nursing on this unit is patient-centered and focused on patient safety and delivery of quality care for positive patient outcomes.  We value what each and every team member contributes toward providing excellent patient care that is evidence-based as well as holistic.  Two North has an active and engaged Unit Based Council (Shared Governance) that promotes a healthy work environment of teamwork and positivity.  New team members are welcomed and supported in their orientation, as they learn and grow in their professional nursing practice.

Using clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication as guides, all aspects of patient care are addressed by our exceptional Interdisciplinary Care Team.  These positive and progressive attitudes contribute to a collaborative environment involving all members of the Interdisciplinary Care Team to provide excellent patient care and positive outcomes.
