What the Facility Wants (Requirements & Expectations)
Experience & Qualifications
- Required Clinical Skills: Experience delivering care to Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry patient populations.
- License & Certifications: Active RN license and required certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, and BLS (implied for hospital telemetry).
- Testing & Study Requirement: Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry. Strips will be provided upon acceptance, and a basic dysrhythmia test-out will be given during the first week of the assignment, which must be passed in order to work on the unit.
- Charting System: Previous Epic experience required.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
