Experience & Qualifications
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital L&D experience required.
- License & Certifications: Active RN license and required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN or EFM.
- Preferred Experience: Mom/Baby, Peds, and/or NICU experience.
Clinical & Unit Overview
- Unit Details: 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, and 3 L&D ORs.
- Patient Ratios & Care: 2:1 or 1:1 for complicated patients. Procedures include vaginal and C-section deliveries, caring for labor, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients.
- Charting System & Equipment: CPN and Meditech EMR; FHR monitors (Novii and GE) and FSE (fetal scalp electrodes).

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
