We're currently seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional / Instructional Assistant to provide 1:1 support to an Early Childhood student in Yamhill County, OR for the 2026-2027 school year.
Job Details:
- Position: Paraprofessional / Instructional Assistant
- Location: Yamhill County, OR
- Site: McMinnville
- Student Population: Early Childhood
- Setting: 1:1 student support
- Pay: $20-$27 per hour
- Dates: ASAP when compliance completed - June 8, 2027
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- 37.5 hours per week
- Full-time, in-person position
Role Overview:
As an Early Childhood Paraprofessional / Instructional Assistant, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a young student while working alongside teachers and other school professionals. You will help support the student's individual learning, developmental, behavioral, and social-emotional needs while creating a safe and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support to an Early Childhood student
- Assist with classroom instruction and daily learning activities
- Help implement individualized educational and developmental goals
- Support positive behavior and social-emotional development
- Assist the student with participation in classroom routines and activities
- Observe and document student progress and behavior as directed
- Collaborate with teachers and other members of the student's educational team
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Early Childhood or Special Education experience is a plus
- Experience providing 1:1 student support is a plus
- Strong communication, patience, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Must be comfortable working in an in-person school setting
