Description
- Position / Title: IMC/PCU/Stepdown - RN (Cardiac IMCU)
- Facility Name: UP Health System - Marquette
- Location: 850 West Baraga Avenue, Marquette, MI 49855

- Target Start Date: 07/19/2026 (13-week contract)
- Shift Details: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week, Every Other Weekend)

Experience & Qualifications
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of PCU or stepdown experience (cardiac patient populations, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips, cardiac stepdown).
- License & Certifications: Active RN license and required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
- Radius & Local Rate Rules: Strict 60-mile radius rule (candidate must live 60 miles or greater to be considered travel; local rate is $62/hr compared to travel rate).
Clinical & Unit Overview
- Unit Details: 36-bed Cardiac IMCU / Medical Surgical Telemetry unit (Level 2 Trauma facility).
- Patient Ratios: 1:5–6 for cardiac patients and 1:3–4 for PCU/stepdown population.
- Charting System & Equipment: Cerner EMR and telemetry monitoring.
- Floating Requirements: Yes, as needed by the facility.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
