Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist – Norwalk, CT
13-Week Contract | Start Date: 09/28/2026
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Norwalk, CT. The ideal candidate will have recent Cath Lab experience and be comfortable supporting a wide range of invasive cardiovascular procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Position Details
- Location: Norwalk, CT
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM - 40 hrs/week
- On-Call: Required after hours, weekends, and holidays
- Charting System: Epic
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, including diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and angioplasty interventions.
- Scrub and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Prepare procedural trays, equipment, and supplies prior to cases.
- Monitor and document patient hemodynamic data and ECG rhythms during procedures.
- Enter patient information, oxygen saturation results, and cardiac output data into the physiologic monitoring system.
- Conduct pre-procedure patient interviews, obtain medical histories, review laboratory results, and provide patient/family education.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, including access site preparation and monitoring setup.
- Perform daily quality assurance checks and calibration of radiographic and hemodynamic equipment.
- Assist with arterial closure devices, sheath removal, and hemostasis management.
- Accurately document all patient care activities within Epic.
Requirements
- Recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience required.
- Experience scrubbing invasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Strong hemodynamic monitoring and ECG interpretation skills.
- Experience with arterial closure devices, sheath removal, and hemostasis.
- Epic experience preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- RCIS, ARRT, or equivalent credential preferred, as applicable.
- Ability to participate in call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
