• 7 Psych RNs – Days: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM | 5x8s
• 4 Psych RNs – Evenings: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM | 5x8s

Assignment Details

• 13-week contract
• Minimum 2 years of Psych RN experience required
• Orientation: 4 weeks on the 1st shift
• Candidates must be comfortable working in a psychiatric facility and managing the milieu.

Responsibilities

RNs will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Physical, psychiatric, and admission assessments
• Medication administration
• Processing physician orders
• Monitoring vital signs and blood glucose
• Treatments and pain assessments
• Dressing changes and venipuncture
• Patient care documentation using the EHR
• Verbal and written communication of clinical findings
• Maintaining a safe therapeutic environment
• Responding appropriately to safety emergencies, behavioral incidents, threats, assaults, and patient elopement situations

Important Requirement

11:00 PM–7:00 AM nurses work as the only RN on the unit without a supervisor present. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in this environment.
